AccessKenya is an ISP. It has various internal departments, including Network Opertations-NOC. 

I am a NOC Engineer, invovled in day-to-day monitoring our infrastructure, alerts generation and reporting on network health/uptime to ensure SLA to our clients are achieved.

This role enables me to understand operations and management of our IP/MPLS and Wireless networks, with a goal of ensuring our ISP service provision in Kenya is the best

Our network consists on Cisco routers, Netscreen switches, systems run on Windows 2k3 servers, users run mostly on Windows.

We connect to the internet via our own metro fibre > to our datacenter (Core Cisco Network) > SEACOM and TEAMS links through London (We have redundancy through Mumbai and South Africa)
